About
Daniel Dean is a highly experienced pantomime actor and illusionist, loved for his versatility, quick-fire comic timing and natural connection with family audiences. With a career filled with laugh-out-loud comic roles, deliciously dastardly villains and eye-catching stage magic, Daniel has become a firm favourite with theatres and pantomime producers across the UK.
Throughout his pantomime career, Daniel has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with many household names in entertainment, including Norman Wisdom, Charlie Cairoli, Jake Canuso, Anne Hegerty and Jean Ferguson, among others — experiences that have helped shape his confident, audience-friendly performance style.
Daniel has built an impressive reputation in leading pantomime roles. He first gained attention playing classic villains such as Abanazar in Aladdin at the Princes Theatre, Hunstanton, and the mischievous King Rat in Dick Whittington. He has also appeared as Captain’s Mate in Dick Whittington, brought magic and sparkle to the Genie of the Ring in Aladdin at the Forum Theatre, Billingham, and played the charming Dandini in Cinderella at The Deco Theatre, Northampton.
Equally at home making audiences laugh, Daniel has enjoyed huge success as a comic lead. Over the past three pantomime seasons, he has played comic lead roles at Scarborough Spa Theatre and Parr Hall, Warrington. His performances as Captain’s Mate and his hugely popular portrayal of Buttons in Cinderella were met with such enthusiasm that he was invited back to Scarborough Spa Theatre to play Pee Wee Potts in Beauty and the Beast.
Daniel’s background as an award-winning illusionist adds an extra layer of magic to his pantomime performances. He began his theatre career performing spectacular illusions, leading to summer seasons in Eastbourne, Blackpool, Great Yarmouth and Torquay, as well as entertaining audiences aboard cruise liners around the world. Over time, he developed a unique style that blends impressive visual magic with comedy and audience interaction.
Today, Daniel seamlessly combines pantomime and illusion to create moments of laughter, amazement and festive fun. From London’s West End to performing for audiences in Las Vegas, Daniel brings world-class experience, warmth and real magic to every production he appears in.
